Étage

A sada nešto malo drugačije. Ne, nije u pitanju internacionalna, ni srpska, ni meni omiljena italijanska kuhinja, ovog puta prenosimo utiske o japanskoj kuhinji. Dobrodošli u bar restoran Etage!

Etage
Etage je kako bih ga ja opisala zapravo podrestoran čuvenog beogradskog restorana Voulez-vous. Smešten na spratu što mu i samo ime kaže, odiše duhom Voulez-vous. Već dobro poznati fazon Voulez-vous restorana ni ovde ne nedostaje. Doduše iako su veoma slični meni se za nijansu više sviđa Etage što zbog preudobnih fotelja, što zbog samog rasporeda stolova. Nekako bih rekla da ovde imate veću širinu. Kada je Voulez-vous uveče prepun dešavalo mi se da ni stolicu ne mogu da izvučem koliko je tesno i krcato. Tako da Etage je što se toga tiče nadmašio Voulez-vous po komforu.

Što se tiče menija baziran je na japanske specijalitete. Međutim ukoliko ste pak navikli na čuvene Voulez-vous specijalitete, njih i ovde možete da poručite. Gastro policija je moramo priznati teško odolela da ne naruči nešto iz menija Voulez-vous-a, ali šta da se radi, posao je posao. Tako da smo se mi ovom prilikom odlučile za jednu od Sushi selekcija. Maki, Nigiri, Sashimi selekcija (1890 rsd) je zapravo Japan u malom. Sastoji se od 3 tuna spicy maki rolls, 3 losos avokado maki rolls, 2 losos nigiri, 2 gambori nigiri, 3 tuna sašimi i 3 losos sašimi, i iako nisam neki fan japanske kuhinje, ovim sam bila i više nego oduševljena. Te boje na tanjiru prosto su me opčinile, tako da kada je japanska kuhinja u pitanju ja je više doživljavam kao neku vizuelnu vrstu umetnosti. Međutim, drugi član Gastro policije koji je zaista ogroman zaljubljenik u japansku kuhinju bio je prezadovoljan ukusom. Skoro pa da sam mogla drugarici da vidim srca u očima. Dakle, i Etage je zadrzao nivo ukusa na koji smo navikle u Voules-vous restoranu.

Sushi selekcija

Nakon Sushi selekcije, red je došao na desert. Ja sam se ovog puta odlučila za nejapanski specijalitet -Cosmopolitan kolač (390 rsd), a drugarica je i kada je desert u pitanju ostala verna Sušiju te se odlučila za Slatki sushi (290 rsd). Moj kolač je kao što i u opisu piše bio savršen spoj musa od belgijske mlečne čokolade, chantilly krema i svežih malina. Ali bez obzira na odličan ukus, nisam uspela ceo da pojedem. Slatki suši sa bananom, nutelom i malinama je izgledao perfektno na oko, a po minutaži za koju je moja drugarica pojela 4 slatka sušija mogla sam samo da zaključim da je i ukus bio i više nego savršen. Na kraju smo deserte dodatno zasladile sa po jednim Pina Coladom (390 rsd). Pa nek ide život!

Ukoliko se odlučite da svratite do ovog bar restorana, moj savet vam je da ipak rezervišete sto, jer ćete uveče izuzetno teško dobiti sto, s obzirom da restoran Etage organizuje i muzičke večeri. Tip gostiju je raznolik, kao uostalom i u Voulez-vous restoranu, mogu se sresti ljudi svih generacija, ali ipak prednjače tridesetogodišnjaci. Gastro policija je još jedne nedelje uživala u novim ukusima, a vi ukoliko želite da okusite nešto malo drugačije, naše tople preporuke su Etage.

And this time, something different. No, it's not international, nor Serbian, nor my favorite Italian cuisine, this time we write about our impressions of Japanese cuisine. Welcome to the bar restaurant Etage!

Etage
Etage is actually a sister restaurant of the famous Belgrade restaurant Voulez-vous. It’s located on the first floor, as its name indicates, and it carries the spirit of Voulez-vous. It doesn’t lack the already well-known style of Voulez-vous restaurant. However, although they are very similar, I like Etage a bit more both because of comfortable chairs, and the seating arrangements. I think that , somehow, you get more space here. When Voulez-vous is full in the evening, sometimes I couldn’t even move my chair, because it was so crowded. So, speaking of comfort, Etage surpassed Voulez-vous.

As for the menu, it is based on Japanese specialties. However, if you are prefer the famous Voulez-vous specialties, you can order them here as well. We must admit, Gastro police hardly resisted not to order something from the Voulez-vous, but alas, business is business. So on this occasion, we chose one of the Sushi selections. Maki, Nigiri, Sashimi selection (1890 rsd) is actually Japan on a plate. It consists of 3 tuna spicy maki rolls, 3 salmon avocado maki rolls, 2 salmon nigiri, 2 prawns nigiri, 3 tuna sashimi and 3 salmon sashimi, and although I'm not a big fan of Japanese cuisine, I was more than thrilled by this. I was fascinated by the colors on the plate, so when it comes to Japanese cuisine, I consider it more as a type of visual art. However, the other member of Gastro police, who is a huge fan of Japanese cuisine, was very satisfied with the taste. I could almost see the hearts instead of pupils in my friend’s eyes. So, as for the quality, Etage kept the same level of taste like Voulez-vous restaurant.

After the Sushi selection came time for dessert. This time, I decided for non-Japanese desert -Cosmopolitan cake (390 rsd), and my friend remained faithful to sushi and she ordered Sweet sushi (290 rsd). My cake, as it says in the description, was a perfect blend of Belgian milk chocolate mousse, chantilly cream and fresh raspberries. But despite the great taste of it, I didn’t manage to eat it whole. Sweet sushi with bananas, Nutella and raspberries seemed visually perfect, and by the time that my friend needed to eat 4 sweet sushi, I could only conclude that the taste was more than perfect. Finally, we sweetened our desserts with Pina Coladas (390 rsd). You only live once!

If you decide to visit this bar restaurant, my advice is to book a table, given that Etage restaurant organizes gigs on some evenings, and it’s extremelly difficult to get a table in that case. Type of guests varies, as well as in Voulez-vous restaurant, you can find people of all ages, but still thirty year olds are in majority. So another week passed, Gastro police enjoyed new flavors and if you want to taste something a little different, we heartly recommend Etage.
